Welcome to the Hoepfner Group Website
The Hoepfner Group at the University of Utah has a wide-array of characterization and modeling tools to understand the phase behavior, aggregation, deposition, and precipitation mechanisms of complex systems. We employ a multi-scale experimental and simulation/modeling approach that spans from fundamental molecular interactions to bulk phase and transport behavior. Our range of expertise can be tailored to aid in the solution of a wide array of scientific and industrial concerns. A number of our approaches are non-invasive and can be tailored for representative laboratory study of real-world conditions. We strive to present a comprehensive understanding of each system by combining experimental and modeling results.
